It may be the third full week of the new year, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to get started on your 2015 health and fitness goals. Remember that your personal goals can come in a number of shapes and sizes. Sometimes it's good to choose smaller tasks, such as reading one book per month or working out with a friend once a week. It's also a good idea to create long­term goals, such as reaching a goal weight, learning a new skill or training for an event. These variety can keep you expectations in check and help you get the finish line in an empowered way.

1. Exercise more often.
It may sound cliche, but there is a reason that cliches become cliches. It’s because they’re true. Exercise not only keeps you in good shape physically, but it can also help relieve stress and improve your mood overall.


2. Eat clean.
We’re not saying to completely eliminate your diet; we understand that everybody needs a treat from time to time. However, trying just a little bit harder to eat more fruits, vegetables and lean meats instead of processed foods can make a huge difference!


3. Find a resolution buddy.
It always helps to have a partner to motivate you. If you feel like you’re slipping on a goal, your resolution buddy can help get you back on track and vice versa. So whether it's fitness, health or just life goals, you'll have someone there to push you along the way.

4. Get fresh air.
Whether you’re outside exercising, or just relaxing with friends at a park, fresh air is not only good for the body, but also for the soul. Try taking your lunch outside. or grabbing a brisk walk mid morning or mid day. Ditch the living room, and rejuvenate outdoors.

5. Don’t give up.
This one is a bit of a resolution within a goal. Don’t give up on any specific resolution, or on keeping resolutions in general. If you miss a day at the gym, you didn’t blow it completely, just get back on track the next day. Quitting is not an option.
Remember, these are just a small handful of ideas to get you started! Successful New Year’s goal setting vary from person to person and it’s important to pick a one that fits you and your needs, not someone else's.
